Shad Allen CPA
President
A Lexington native now living in Berea, Shad founded Allen & Associates in May 2016. Shad has been married to his wife, Chrystah, since 2021. Shad is also the father of two children. Shad is a CPA with a BBA in Accounting and enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, and tackling his “honey-do” list.

Chrystah Allen
Office Administrator
Born and raised in Berea, KY, Chrystah resides with her husband, Shad and her daughter. Chrystah is also the Auntie to a very special niece. With a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Counseling, she joined Allen & Associates in 2025. Her interests include fishing for crappie at Watt’s Bar Lake, Ford Mustangs, Johnny Cash, and spending quality time with her family.
Ben West
Senior Assurance Associate
Originally from Berea, KY, Ben lives in Richmond with his fiance, Kennedy, and their pets, Sutton (dog) and Scarlett (cat). He holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration—Finance and Accounting—and is pursuing an MBA in Project Management. Ben joined Allen & Associates in August 2023, bringing his passion for numbers and basketball coaching to the team.
Troy Hager CPA
Assurance Manager
A Lexington native and resident, Troy shares his home with Glenn (dog), Debby (dog), Dafydd (rabbit), and five chickens. A CPA since 2016, Troy graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. Joining Allen & Associates in January 2025, Troy’s interests include baking, French culture, and community involvement.
Zach Bruner
Staff Accountant
Born and raised in Nicholasville, Zach holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting and an MBA from Midway University. Zach joined Allen & Associates in March 2024. Outside of work, Zach enjoys quality time with his young son, golfing on weekends, and creating lasting memories with friends and family.
Tammy Molton
Payroll Associate
Born and raised in Olive Hill, KY, Tammy currently resides in Berea, KY. Tammy shares her home with her high school sweetheart and husband, Tim. Tammy holds an Associate's in Applied Business, has 15+ years in school and public accounting and 15+ years in business relations. Tammy started working at Allen & Associates in February 2025. Outside of work, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family.
Zach Oakes
Accounting Intern
A Richmond native and resident, Zach shares his home with his parents, brother, sister and Bentley (dog). Zach will soon graduate with a Bachelor's In Business Administration in Accounting. Zach started working at Allen & Associates in February 2025. Outside of work, Zach enjoys playing golf and enjoys anything Kentucky sports related.
Jared Henderson
Accounting Intern
A Richmond native and resident, Jared shares his home with his parents, Callie (cat), Grady (cat), and Ava (dog). Jared is engaged to Bailee. Jared attends Eastern Kentucky University and will graduate in December with a Bachelor's In Management in Accounting. Jared started working at Allen & Associates in March 2025. Outside of work, Jared enjoys bowling, playing video games, escape rooms, geography, shooting pool, and spending time with his family, friends and fiance, Bailee.
