Shad Allen CPA
President
A Lexington native and Berea resident, Shad shares his home with his wife, Chrystah, daughter Reagan, Maggie (dog), Fiona (dog), Simba and Shelley (cats). Shad is a Certified Public Accountant and the founder of Allen & Associates. He has been practicing in the accounting profession since 2010, providing trusted guidance to individuals, businesses, and organizations across a wide range of financial and tax matters.
Shad earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2009 and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2011. With extensive experience in all aspects of taxation, he also brings a strong background in governmental auditing and accounting. In addition, he is highly knowledgeable in payroll services, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Known for his integrity, attention to detail, and client-focused approach, Shad is committed to helping clients navigate complex financial issues with clarity and confidence. Shad enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, and tackling his “honey-do” list.
AJ Taulbee
Accounting Supervisor
A Winchester native and resident, AJ shares his home with wife, three children, and three dogs. AJ joined Allen & Associates in January 2026. AJ has a Bachelors of Business Administration and has extensive experience in the field of Accounting. AJ has 14 years of community banking experience with various roles from front-line, audit, compliance, and loan review. Additionally he has eight years of public accounting experience with a concentration in financial services. AJ enjoys taking his children to their activities which includes pageants, soccer, wrestling, softball and basketball.
Garry Henson
Senior Accountant
A Harlan native and Richmond resident, Garry shares his home with his wife, Alexis (Lexi), and Maverick (dog). Garry and his wife welcomed a new addition to their family in February 2026. Garry has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a Concentration in public accounting. He also has a additional Bachelor's degree in Finance with a Concentration in managerial finance. Joining Allen & Associates in June 2025, Garry's interests include watching sports, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Gage Greer
Senior Accountant
A Rock Hill, South Carolina native and Richmond resident, Gage shares his home with his wife, Kaitlyn, three dogs (Avalon, Piper, and Moose) and two cats (Olive and Murph). Gage joined Allen & Associates in January 2026. Gage has a Bachelor's degree in English, an MBA in Business Administration and a Certificate in Accounting. Gage has one prior year of experience in Accounting and one prior year of experience in audit. His interests include walking the dogs with his wife, watching movies/ shows with his wife and reading.
Amber Rachford
Accounting Specialist
A Berea native and resident, Amber shares her home with her husband and four boys. Amber holds an Associate's degree in Business Management. Amber started working at Allen & Associates in June 2025. Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with family, gardening, traveling and being outdoors.
Tammy Molton
Accounting Specialist
Born and raised in Olive Hill, KY, Tammy currently resides in Berea, KY. Tammy shares her home with her high school sweetheart and husband, Tim. Tammy holds an Associate's in Applied Business, has 15+ years in school and public accounting and 15+ years in business relations. Tammy started working at Allen & Associates in February 2025. Outside of work, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family.
Chrystah Allen
Office Administrator
Born and raised in Berea, KY, Chrystah resides with her husband, Shad and her daughter. Chrystah is also the Auntie to a very special niece. With a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Counseling, she joined Allen & Associates in 2025. Her interests include fishing for crappie at Watt’s Bar Lake, Ford Mustangs, Johnny Cash, and spending quality time with her family.
Garrett Jenkins
Accounting Intern
A Olive Hill native and Richmond resident, Garrett is currently attending college at Eastern Kentucky University. Garrett is pursing a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting with a Certificate in Financial Literacy. Garrett's interests include golf, tennis, volleyball, and hiking.
